Sarawak, highlighted in red below, is one of two Malaysian states on
the island of Borneo. Known as Bumi Kenyalang or
the Land of the Hornbills, Sarawak is situated on the northwest of the island,
bordering the Malaysian state of Sabah to the
northeast, Indonesia to the south, and surrounding Brunei. It is the largest Malaysian state.
The administrative capital of Sarawak is Kuching and the state flag and coat-of-arms are shown below.

A group of 36 Primary 5 students and 5 teacher chaperones will be visiting this Land of the Hornbills as part of the school's Trips for International Experience (TIE) programme.
